NPM Day 2 - 7th Heaven
I would like to start off by saying we are not what we write. Not always anyway. Just as Stephen King is not a murderous clown and J.K. Rowling bears no resemblance to a tween boy learning wizardry. I do not celebrate holidays. Nope, Nothing, not even my own birthday. That hasn't stopped me from noticing the changes the world goes through when holidays do come up. In particular, Christmas. Through my rose colored glasses I came up with this poem after watching a 7th Heaven episode.
The lights shimmer and the smell of pine trees fills the air
the house is warm and family is everywhere
We wait so long for this time of year
to laugh and sing and spread some cheer
It's just to bad we'll have to wait
Next December, save the date.
